Prime Minister to Host Press Conference This Morning in Belize City

Wednesday, April 29^th, 2015. BMG: Prime Minister of Belize, Hon. Dean Barrow is hosting a press conference this morning in Belize City to update the public about the outcome of the meetings he had with senior officials of Bank of America and Carnival Cruise Lines in Miami last week.

On an interview with Channel 7 News, Prime Minister Barrow stated and we quote, “Well in respect to Bank of America, I think that the way forward is clear. What is going to be permitted and not permitted in terms of the government’s hand-holding with the Belize Bank? It was useful, we know exactly how we are to proceed and that’s been extremely helpful.

In terms of Carnival, again, my mind is certainly clear as to Carnival’s position re-Stake Bank and that again alone was worth the trip. I can’t suggest that there is all of a sudden now a very bright well-define yellow brick road.”
