Friday, May8th 2015. Aaron Humes Reporting: Mobile phone applications are becoming increasingly a part of the thinking man’s life as a simple way to access information and entertainment. But if you want to save a life, there’s an app for that too.
As part of annual celebrations marking World Red Cross Day, the Belize Red Cross today launched its First Aid App in downtown Belize City at the Battlefield Park.
Fred Hunter Jr., director for disaster risk management for the Red Cross, told us that the app is meant to provide a handy means of learning first aid techniques approved by the Red Cross.
Ideally, one can download and store the app and commit its material to memory for those “just-in-case” moments.
The app is available for free on Google Play and in the Apple Store.
