Wednesday, May 13th, 2015. Aaron Humes Reporting: Approximately 27 Scenes of Crime technicians attached to the Police Department and National Forensic Science Service today graduated from a one-year training course offered by facilitators sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Belize beginning last June.
The level of training offered upgrades members of the Scenes of Crime Unit from being only technical personnel to fully trained investigators capable of analysis and reports on crime scenes for trial.
NFSS director and former Police Commissioner David Henderson says the officers will be given what they need to do their jobs properly, but they must also come through with professional behaviour and dedicated use of their newfound skills.
