Nightclub owner pulled gun for payment

Friday, June 12th, 2015. Chrisbert Garcia Reporting: Police are investigating an aggravated assault allegedly perpetrated by a nightclub owner in Punta Gorda Town against a customer who he alleged had not paid for his beer. 9. CRIME

Owner of Galaxy Nightclub, 36 year old Jin Zhou Wu is said to have pursued Hopeville area resident Edward Bochub as he left the night club on Front Street around 9:25 Wednesday night, June 10.

Wu had his firearm out as he demanded that Bochub and his companion pay for their beers, but according to Bochub he had already paid for them and did not owe anything.

As Bochub got into his vehicle Wu pointed the weapon at Bochub’s head and then hit his passenger in the face.

Police have detained Wu and confiscated his silver and black 9mm Ruger pistol and magazine containing 9 live rounds as part of their investigations.
