BMG: The Guatemalan military vessel that ran aground Belize’s reef on Wednesday night around 11:00pm has been removed from the reef between Long Caye and Middle Caye in Glover’s Reef.

According to reports, the vessel has been allowed to return to Puerto Barrios with all crew members on board which is a divergence from established protocol when a vessel damages the reef.
