Accident claims life in Blackman Eddy Village

Tuesday, June 23, 2015.  BMG: 35 year old Raymond Reyes of Belmopan lost his life in a freak accident on Sunday night.

According to reports, 36 year old Everald Gabourel was driving towards Belmopan in his vehicle, when Armando Dominguez, driving a motorcycle in the same direction, tried to overtake.

Dominguez collided into a red truck coming in the opposite direction. Herson Manchame, the driver of the red truck, lost control and crashed into Gabourel.

Reyes was a passenger on Dominguez’s motorcycle.

Reyes was in Teakettle socializing with his family, when he left with Dominguez en route to Blackman Eddy Village.

Several parts of Reyes’ body were broken, and he received major head injuries as well.

Dominguez was admitted at the KHMH in a critical condition.

Gabourel and three passengers received minor injuries, while Manchame suffered a fractured right leg.

A passenger in Manchame’s truck also received minor injuries.

Armando Dominguez has since been served with a notice of intended prosecution.
