Delroy Cuthkelvin to Contest Convention for UDP Stann Creek West Standard Bearer

Monday, June 29, 2015. BMG: This morning Belize Media Group received a press release from Delroy Cuthkelvin who is announcing his candidacy to fill the position of UDP Standard Bearer in Stann Creek West left vacant by the resignation of Mr. Melvin Hulse.

According to Cuthkelvin, the decision was made after consultation with key committee members and organizers of the party in the Stann Creek West who feel that given his political experience and dynamism, he represents the party’s best hope to regain control of the constituency in the upcoming general elections.

The press release ends by saying that “we await the announcement of a convention date to be set by the UDP Secretariat; and we reassure the UDP leadership and general membership of our continued commitment to the principles and ideals of the UDP and our pledge to work hard to secure victory for our party in Stann Creek West and the Country”.
