LICU members hold peaceful demonstration in Orange Walk

Thursday, July 02, 2015. Orange Walk Bureau Reporting: Armed with placards and signs, it was clear that these peaceful demonstrators are fed up with the way the La Inmaculada Credit Union is shutting them out.

Members of the Union organized a demonstration to voice their discontentment and dissatisfaction at the way things are being handled at the LICU. Of particular interest to the members is answers to when their Annual General Meeting will be held and the fate of suspended former GM Yolanda Gomez.

Former staff members of the Union participated in this morning’s protest and voiced their concerns after they were terminated for standing up to the board.

So far, our efforts to get comment from the BOD have proved futile.
