Murder at Village Kitchen Restaurant

Monday, July 06, 2015. BMG: Over the weekend, the lifeless body of 65 year old Michael Emmerson Cain, a Belize City resident of 13 Water Lane was found floating along the river bank behind Village Kitchen Restaurant on North Front Street in Belize City.

According to authorities, they were called to the restaurant at around 5:15 a.m on Sunday, July 6^th and learned that Cain was at the back of the restaurant when he was viciously attacked by 3 male persons and a female who inflicted wounds to his forehead and chin, then threw him into the river.

Cain’s body was retrieved by police and taken to the KHMH where he was pronounced dead at 6:15 a.m.

Police investigation continues.
