Methodist church women open regional conference

Friday, July 24, 2015. BMG: The Sixth Quinquennial Assembly of the women of the Methodist Church in the Caribbean and Americas (MCCA) opened in Belize for the first time this week at the Ramada Princess Hotel. smith23.7.15a

Organizers say that in addition to prayer and election of new officers, there will be serious discussion of topical issues including youth development and violence and climate change.

They say the women of the Church will be key in fashioning the future of the faith and of society. Over 350 women are participating from 20 countries.

The week-long conference closes with a church service in Belize City on Sunday. The theme is “Bembelela ” which means Christ is Our Hope.
