Motorcycle, truck collide in Santa Elena

Thursday, August 13^th, 2015 BMG: 33 year old Kurt Cardines, a resident of Santa Elena Town, had to be treated for injuries sustained after his Meilun motorcycle collided into a pickup truck last night, August 12.

The driver of the pickup, 33 year old construction worker, Obdulio Lazo, also of Santa Elena Town, told police that he made a left turn while going in the direction of the Santa Elena Precinct, after not seeing any traffic coming down the road, and that is when he heard a loud bang.

Lazo immediately stopped and got out of his vehicle, which is when he saw Cardines bleeding from his right foot with his motorcycle on the ground beside him. Lazo then took Cardines to the San Ignacio Hospital for treatment. Police investigation continues.

Officer Commanding San Ignacio advises the driving Public to exercise extreme caution when passing the roundabout near the Loma Luz Hospital and to be very vigilant when making left turns.
