Human remains found in Salvapan

Tuesday, September 1, 2015. BMG: A set of apparent human skeletal remains await analysis at the Western Regional Hospital morgue after the shocking discovery was made by a farmer of the Salvapan area in Belmopan.

48 year old Trinidad De Jesus Taltiqu, a Guatemalan farmer, led police to the remains around 4:20 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, August 30.

Taltiqu told officers that around 1:30 p.m. while cutting some sticks 300 yards east of Costa Rica Street, he stumbled upon what he believed to be human remains, and alerted the authorities.

Police investigations continue.
