Elderly woman alleges con-man stole over $10,000 from her

Wednesday, September 23^rd, 2015. BMG: A 50 year old woman, Mrs. Dalila Osorio, reported to police that on February 25th of this year, she gave two cheques, one for $5000 and the other for $2000, to a man by the name of Mark Anthony Vasquez.

According to Osorio, Anthony promised to purchase a vehicle from the United States (US) and have it shipped down to Belize for her but he later asked for an additional $3300 to ship the vehicle as well as pay a custom broker.

Osorio said she obliged and gave him the additional money, which brought her total investment to $10,300 but she says she has not gotten anything in return.

According to Osorio, Anthony has not delivered her vehicle and now refuses to reimburse her the money that she gave him.
