Sheep thieves cost farmer $900

9. CRIMESaturday, October 3rd, 2015. BMG: A sheep rarer and farmer of Belmopan City, 74-year-old William Tillett, reported to police that around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 1st, he traveled to his farm and fired a single shot in the air to scare off sheep thieves that killed four of his animals and stole another two, reaching a total value of $900.

This was after Tillett’s farm manager on Frank’s Eddy Road, informed him about persons attempting to steal sheep but the culprits managed to escape in a red pickup truck. Tillett is the owner of a licensed 12 gauge shotgun.

Police are investigating.
