Report: Major crimes down, murder rises

Thursday, October 8^th, 2015. Aaron Humes Reporting: For the fourth time in five years, through the first nine months of 2015, murders have cracked the 100 mark with a reported 102 compared to 91 in the same period for 2014.

However, other major crimes including burglary and theft are down sharply, resulting in 200 fewer major crimes reported in the first three quarters of 2015. However, rape and robbery incidents are up.

Police are scheduled to have a press meeting later this week where further discussion of the unofficially leaked statistics will be made available.
