Sunday, October 18, 2015. BMG: Since the area of low pressure over Belize that has caused extensive damage in the old capital seems to have caught the nation by surprise, Belize Media Group contacted the Weather Bureau to inquire if all was in order regarding its equipment. radar

Personnel from the Bureau told us that all equipment is functional at the moment including the Doppler radar and that it posted the information about the coming rains on its website as well as broadcasted it on the radio.

The forecaster told BMG that we can continue to expect showers and conditions similar to those affecting the country now for the next few days with improvement showing until Thursday.

Areas across the country continue to experience flooding and emergency management organizations remain active.
