PG resident busted for drug trafficking

weed bustMonday, October 19th, 2015. BMG: A 32-year-old Guatemalan national was arrested and charged for the offense of “Drug Trafficking” on Saturday, October 17th, when police visited his Punta Gorda home and found suspicious monies as well as a considerably large amount of cannabis.

Enrique Elias Barrientos Oliveros’ home at the corner of Far West and Prince Streets, was searched by officers and found various denominations of money, including American, Belizean and Guatemalan currency.

The money was suspected to be proceeds of drug sales and a further search of the property was conducted, which led to the discovery of a plastic bag containing 361 grams of cannabis in the yard.

Oliveros was then transported to the Punta Gorda Police Station sometime after 3:00 a.m. that day.
