OAS deploys Electoral Observation Mission to Belize

Wednesday, October 28, 2015. BMG: A press release issued by the Organization of American States (OAS) earlier today, announced the deployment of its Electoral Observation Mission (EOM) to Belize for the November 4th general elections, comprised of 13 observers from various countries and headed by Ambassador Jacinth Henry-Martin. images (1)

After attending a training session, the observers will be deployed in Belize’s six electoral districts where they are to visit polling stations from the opening of polls until the counting of votes and publication of results.

This is the second time OAS has observed elections in our country and on November 5th, members of the Mission will provide their preliminary findings in a press conference to the Permanent Council of the OAS in Washington D.C.
