By Aaron Humes: This evening residents of Ladyville and Lord’s Bank will be treated to a first-of-its kind Christmas parade organized by the various Christian churches in the area.

Musician and member of Victory Assembly of God Church, Shane Henry, says his church’s men’s ministry practices caroling in the area but several other churches joined in and the event grew into a parade to rival those held in Belize City, San Pedro and Belmopan.

The parade begins at six following a blessing by Pastor George Lamb at the Community Center near the Police Station and goes through Perez Road, Marage Road, and Egbert Quilter Avenue and crosses the Philip Goldson Highway into Lords’ Bank, where it will end at the Lords’ Bank Community Cricket Field.

It will feature a host of sponsored floats, live entertainment and the Police and BDF Cadet Corps.

It is planned to become an annual event.
