Placencia police thanks community for support in 2015

By Chrisbert Garcia: A release from the Placencia Police Sub-Formation expressed its gratitude to the communities of Riversdale, Maya Beach, Seine Bight and Placencia for their support in the collective effort of maintaining law and order, as community involvement is important in the battle against crime.

It stated that although much more can be done, the formation and communities have experienced tremendous success throughout the year in managing crime, made possible with unwavering assistance from the public and new crime fighting strategies that were implemented.

The release goes on to applaud the motoring public for keeping down the number of traffic related incidents resulting in injuries, and also thanked the formation’s partner agencies and Non-Governmental Organizations around the peninsula for their continued participation and partnership.

It ended by thanking all the outstanding police men and women of the Sub-Formation, their families for understanding the challenge, the media for its constructive role in disseminating information and members of the public. The formation also wished that everyone has a joyous, blessed Christmas, as well as a Happy New Year.
