By Dalila Ical: A 28-year-old man from Trial Farm Village in Orange Walk has been remanded after being accused of sexually assaulting a five year old boy.

The 28-year-old was arrested and charged for the crime after a woman reported that her mother-in-law caught him in the act on December 26th around 2:00 p.m. and alerted her. The man is scheduled to appear in court on February 4th, 2016.

Meanwhile police are still looking for two persons in relation to another sex crime reported by a 15-year-old and her mother. The teenager told police that she had sexual intercourse with a man in November and with another on December 24th. Under the law, no female under 16 can consent to sexual intercourse and as such the men are being sought by police.

In addition to that, Orange Walk police are investigating a possible sex crime after a report made by another mother who said her 14-year-old daughter went missing on Christmas day.

Authorities located the teen and suspect that she may have been sexually active. She is not cooperating with the police and is pending a medical exam. Police investigations are ongoing.
