By Aaron Humes: Police have arrested 19-year-old Cecil Ramirez for the Boxing Day murder of 18-year-old Lennox Flowers in Burrell Boom Village.
The student at St. John’s Junior College was formally charged with the murder of Lennox Flowers when he appeared today before Senior Magistrate Sharon Fraser. She explained to him that the court cannot offer him bail because of the nature of the offence. She remanded him into custody until February 29.
The incident occurred at an event following the annual horse race meet at Castleton Park in Burrell Boom.
Flowers’ family believes their loved one was held down by one other man and that the crime’s mastermind was one of his ex-girlfriends, but Ramirez is so far the only person charged for having been the one to actually inflict the stab wounds.
However, police say the investigation has not been concluded as yet.
Police have recovered the cell phone belonging to Lennox Flowers.
