Orange Walk Police finds pistol near library

crime sceneBy Dalila Ical: On Sunday, about mid-afternoon Orange Walk police found a firearm tucked under a log near the Sandy Hunter Library on Hospital Crescent Street.

Authorities report that the formation’s Quick Response Team searched an empty lot near the library and found a black .32 calibre Davis Industries brand pistol, model P-32 bearing serial number P055700.

Officers also found an empty magazine that was wrapped in a black plastic. The firearm was taken to the Orange Walk Police Station where it was deposited as “found property”.
