By Aaron Humes: A press release from the Ministry of Finance earlier today served to inform the general public of a $0.42 decrease in the price per gallon of Diesel Oil, dropping the price in Belize City to $6.58.
This reduction comes as a result of lower costs on a recent shipment of fuels into the country which positively affected the price change at the gas station pumps starting at midnight yesterday.
The release ended by stating that all future reductions in costs will be passed on to the prices at the pump and that the government intends to maintain the current level of duties and taxes without charge on these products.
