Two Mexicans in jail for drug possession and cultivation in Belize

By Dalila Ical: Two Mexicans were found with drugs and ammunition along the Belize-Mexico border. Orange Walk Police report that they came across the men at Cuatro Leguas along the border with Mexico.  Weed bust

50-year-old Pedro Cordova Perez and Juan Manuel Pacheco Che both of La Union Village, Mexico were under a grey tarp tent in a farm in that area.

Officers searched Perez and found a zip lock bag with cannabis inside on him. Further searches of a bag of clothing led police to two live maroon 16-gauge Aguila brand cartridges for which the men could not produce a license. When they searched the area authorities also discovered two three inched marijuana seedlings.

The men were arrested and charged for drug trafficking, cultivation of cannabis and kept unlicensed ammunition.
