Placencia Police Meet and Greet Seine Bight Villagers

By Chrisbert Garcia: Led by their Commanding Officer, Inspector Dennis Miles, members of Placencia’s Police Formation set out on their “Meet and Greet” in Seine Bight Village where they visited homes to hear concerns from the general public earlier today.

This was part of a relatively new practice being done by police formations countrywide and has been credited with the reduction in crime that was seen in late 2015. It aims to be more community friendly and police stations now have officers that specifically deal with community policing to improve relations between public and police.

Placencia Police has stated that this is a practice they plan to continue on the peninsula and will be taken to Placencia and Maya Beach as well.
