Regional Agricultural meeting being held at Biltmore Plaza

By Chrisbert Garcia: On Tuesday afternoon at the Best Western Biltmore Plaza in Belize City, an inauguration was held for the LXI Ordinary Technical Committee Meeting of CIRSA, which began yesterday and will conclude tomorrow.

Delegates from nine of OIRSA’s member countries, representatives of the Diplomatic Corporation, Caribbean Agricultural Research & Development Institute (CARDI), Belize Fisheries Department and Poultry Association, as well as Minister of State in the Ministry of Agriculture, Jose Alpuche and his Chief Executive Officer, Efrain Guerra, all are in attendance at this meeting to discuss important matters regarding Agricultural Health progress of OIRSA’s member countries.

Also being discussed are regional projects that have been implemented along with their results that are impacting livelihoods of many farmers in the region.
