Football league heats up over the weekend

By BBN Staff: The Premier League of Belize had to postpone a game on Saturday night between the Police United FC and Wagiya FC.  The other two weekend games were played as scheduled on Sunday.

In Belmopan at the FFB stadium, the BDF FC won the Belmopan Bandits 1-0.  The goal was scored by Osmar Duran.  Then in San Ignacio, the visiting team Placencia Assassins beat Verdes F.C. 3-2.  Dellon Torres scored 2 goals and Luis Baca Torres scored the third goal for the Assassins.

Verdes’ 2 goals were from Jarett Davis. PLB is set to get more exciting as the tournament moves on to the 8th week.
