Early morning police operation nets weed and gun in the old capital

weed found march 10By BBN Staff: Police with the assistance of its K-9 Unit conducted an operation between the hours of 4:30 and 11:30 this morning which netted a total of 2.5 pounds (1112.5 grams) of cannabis and a firearm in several areas of the old capital.

An abandoned lot was searched at around 6:30 a.m. on Croton Lane where .357 magnuminside a speaker, wrapped in transparent plastic, officers found 757 grams of cannabis. Almost an hour later at around 7:28 a.m. in the PIV area, searches in another abandoned lot resulted in the discovery of 152.5 grams of cannabis and a .357 magnum revolver.

Then at around 10:00 a.m., the last find was made on Mayflower Street when 203 grams of cannabis was seen inside a coffee mate container. All finds were labeled and deposited as “found property” since no one was in any of the immediate areas at the time of the searches.weed found march 101
