City man murdered on Saturday night

By BBN Staff: Belize City Police are investigating a Saturday night shooting that claimed the life of 24-year-old Alwayne Cherington who was at a friend’s house when the incident occurred.

Investigations revealed that while socializing inside the friend’s house on Lopez Street at around 7:05 p.m., a gunman entered the building and fired several shots at Lopez then made his escape.

Only thirty minutes later at 7:35, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital while undergoing treatment.
