Weed and gun found in Cayo

By BBN Staff: While on patrol between miles 68 and 69 on the George Price Highway at around 5:00 on Friday morning, San Ignacio Police discovered more than 33 pounds of cannabis and a shotgun near Rumors Resort.

Officers made checks near a police booth opposite from Rumors, resulting in the discovery of large black bag containing 33 pounds of cannabis, a small plastic bag with 170 grams cannabis and a 20 gauge shotgun with a round in the barrel.

All items were deposited as found property since no one was in the immediate area at the time of the search.
