By BBN Staff: Last Wednesday, two men were detained for ‘illegal logging within a national park’ after they were busted by a team comprising of police officers, park rangers and a member of the Mayflower National Park.
The men, Carlos Palacio, 35 and Donald Wewe, 45, were found in possession of a chain saw inside the park, located two miles out of Silk Grass Village on the Southern Highway.
They were conducting illegal logging and were apprehended by the joint operation team which had been patrolling the park from 12:45 to 5:15 p.m. that day.
