Japan donates 30 wheelchairs to Ministry of Health

chairsBy BBN Staff: A ceremony held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ conference room earlier today, served to officially hand over a donation of 30 foldable wheelchairs from the Government of Japan, to our Ministry of Health.

The donation was made in Belmopan as part of the Japanese Government’s Non-Project Grant Aid for provision of Industrial Products for Belize and the wheelchairs will be distributed as needed to hospitals/clinics across the country.

A press release stated that representatives of Japan’s Embassy, as well as the Ministries of Health and Foreign Affairs were present at the ceremony. Minister of State in the Ministry of Health, Angel Campos, received the donation on behalf of our government.
