By Aaron Humes: Representing the People’s United Party (PUP), Senator Eamon Courtenay today said yesterday’s meeting in Washington “celebrates an absolute failure” as no effort has been made to advance plans for a Sarstoon protocol.

Calling again for the removal of Minister of Foreign Affairs Wilfred Elrington, Courtenay stated that the international community can hardly expect to consider the issue a crisis if Belize does not do so – and Elrington continues to publicly embrace Guatemala.

The party plans to make public what it knows of the wanton destruction of Belize’s natural resources on land and sea – to convince Belizeans that the policy of “talk and hope” has not worked.
