Police operations seize gun and drugs

By BBN Staff: In two separate operations over the weekend conducted by the Belize Police K9 unit and members of the North Side Strike Team in Belize City, police were able to seize drugs and a firearm.

The first operation was conducted at an empty lot in Belama Phase 1 on Samuel Haynes street, where officers discovered a red sport bag containing 12 sealed black plastic bags with 1,229 grams of cannabis.

The second operation was conducted by Belize City Police around the sea side along Marine Parade, which led to the discovery of a chrome gun with black plastic grip and no magazine.

No-one was found in the areas where the operations were carried out and the weed and gun were labeled as found property.
