Man drowns in the Macal River in Cayo

BBN Staff: Breaking Belize News has just been reliably informed that a man has drowned in the Macal River in the Cayo District.

Information is still sketchy but we were made to understand that the victim was crossing the river to go to work when his canoe capsized and he went underwater.

The identity of the victim has been identified but has not been released by police. According to our sources, he is a well known villager of San Antonio in the Cayo District.
