Caribbean monitoring tropical wave

By BBN Staff: Tropical wave 92L has passed the Eastern Caribbean island chains and continues to move west at 12 mph into the central Caribbean sea. It is expected that gusty weather will gradually decrease in the Eastern Caribbean islands today while a chance of enhanced showers and thunderstorms exist for most of the Greater Antilles islands.

All people in the Caribbean, including Belize, are advised to keep monitoring weather updates for possible development into a tropical depression or tropical storm.

The chance of formation through 48 hours is low, about 10 percent. The chance of formation through five days is also low, about 20 percent.
