By BBN Staff: The Belize National Teachers Union (BNTU) have announced plans to continue its strike into Wednesday and Thursday.

The union’s executive council met this afternoon and decided that tomorrow teachers will go out into towns to hand out info sheets to parents to inform the public of their reasons for striking. The teachers have also planned rallies and motorcades in the different branches for Thursday.

Teachers also responded to comments made by Minister of Foreign Affairs Wilfred “Sedi” Elrington about the teachers not being competent or smart enough to tackle national issues.
