Breaking: Utility Unions’ support BNTU

BBN Staff:The Utility Unions’(Belize Water Services Workers Union, Belize Energy Union and Belize Communication Workers Union)  have issued a press release expressing their support for the Belize National Teachers Union (BNTU) 3% increase as per their agreement with the Government of Belize.

The Utility Unions’ also urged the Joint Negotiating Team (JNT) to come together and put an end to the salary deferral issue.

In addition, they stated that it was best for all unions to come together under one umbrella to address and resolve the national issues highlighted in the BNTU’s letter to the Prime Minister.

The Utility Unions’ also agree 100% with the BNTU that government must set the foundation for good governance in Belize.
