By BBN Staff: This morning around 10:50 a.m., acting on intelligence received, a joint team of Special Branch personnel, Crime Investigation Branch (CIB) and Quick Response Team (QRT) intercepted a knapsack that was on the Thunderbolt boat travelling from Corozal town to San Pedro.
In the knapsack, San Pedro police discovered 1673 grams (equivalent to 3.6 pounds) of suspected cocaine with a street value of 60 to 70 thousand dollars.
The drug was retrieved from the knapsack and labeled as found property as no one came forward to claim the knapsack.
