NEMO Minister inspects Hurricane Earl rebuilding efforts on Ambergris Caye

By BBN Staff: Minister of NEMO, Edmond Castro conducted a tour on Ambergris Caye to inspect hurricane rebuilding efforts there through partnerships with the business community and the San Pedro Town Council.

Castro visited houses built, repaired, and some which are under construction in the Boca Del Rio, San Mateo, San Pedrito and DFC areas. He was accompanied by a representative from the San Pedro Town Council, Jorge Aldana, and NEMO Regional Coordinator Al Westby.

Castro plans to return when the rebuilding is completed, at which time he will officially hand over the houses to victims of Hurricane Earl along with Belize Rural South Area Representative and Minister of Tourism Manuel Heredia who was abroad on official business during the NEMO Minister’s visit.
