Young woman raped by cousin in Hopkins

By BBN Staff: A 24-year-old woman visited the Hopkins police station on Saturday morning and reported that while she was at her home in Hopkins Village, she was sleeping in her bedroom when she was awakened by someone who was covering her mouth.

She further stated that while turning her head to the right side, she observed a dark skin man, whom she identified to be her second cousin having sex with her against her will.

Yesterday, police arrested a Belizean resident of Silk Grass Village for the crime of ‘rape’ and ‘sexual assault’.
