Police issue official report on the murder of Nelson Zelaya

By BBN Staff: Police have issued an official report regarding the murder of Nelson Zelaya from Gardenia Village.

According to police reports,  yesterday morning around 11 they visited the residence of Nelson Zelaya in Gardenia Village where they found him lying on the ground bleeding profusely from his head with apparent gunshot wounds to his left cheek, left side of his neck, and to the right shoulder.

Initial investigation revealed that Zelaya was at his home when he went to fetch firewood behind his backyard and was shot.

He was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 1:30 pm. 

Police are investigating.
