By BBN Staff: Eugene Bailey, 39, and Raymond Montes, 43, are in prison after they were found burglarizing Lucky Star Supermarket on Central American Boulevard in Belize City.

Acting on intelligence, south side police visited the shop sometime after midnight on November 30.

Officers found Bailey hiding in a freezer and Montes hiding behind a shelf.

They were both detained by police and charged.

According to police information, $2,000 was missing from the cash register along with an undisclosed amount of groceries.

According to the shop keeper, the men made their way inside the shop from the roof of the building.

The men pleaded not guilty to the charge of burglary but Magistrate Carlon Mendoza remanded them to prison and adjourned their case until February 3, 2017.
