Last murder of 2016 happened last night in Ladyville

BBN Staff: The last murder of 2016 occurred sometime after 9:00 last night in Ladyville.

According to police reports, at around 9:10 p.m. Dilon Grinage, a 26-year-old Belizean laborer of Sandhill was socializing when a lone gunman fired 5 to 6 shots at him.

He received one gunshot wound to the head and two to the chest.

He was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead at around 10:10 p.m.

No suspect has been detained at this time.
