10 ‘highly dangerous’ gang members escape from El Salvador jail; could they be heading to Belize?

By BBN Staff: The Nuestro diario newspaper of El Salvador is reporting that their borders are on high alert after 10 inmates escaped from prison in their country on Sunday.

The men are members of the dangerous and violent gang Mara Salvatrucha.

The security authorities of the Guatemalan border have been placed on high alert.

Honduran authorities have also been placed on high alert following this incident.

The men are considered extremely dangerous.

The public is advised to be cautious and contact the nearest police station if there are any sightings of any of these men.
