Man, 34, drowns while swimming in the Roaring Creek River

BBN Staff: Yesterday, police retrieved the body of Angelino Lemus,34, from the Roaring Creek River in Cayo District.

Police investigation revealed that about 1:30 p.m. Lemus and a friend went swimming in the river.

Both persons were swimming when the friend lost sight of Lemus.

Lemus was located sometime later, however, he was unresponsive.

The body of Lemus was transported to the Western Regional Hospital where it was pronounced dead on arrival.

The body now awaits a post mortem examination.

Police are investigating.
