Man drowns on weekend swimming trip

By BBN Staff: Jaime Cayetano is dead and police suspect his death was caused by drowning.

According to investigators, on Sunday afternoon he and two friends went for a swim at Red Bank, Stann Creek.

However, Cayetano jumped into the river first and did not surface. His friends later dived in and recovered his body and attempted to resuscitate him but their efforts failed.

Cayetano was transported to the Independence Polyclinic where he was certified dead.
