The Institute of Archaeology this evening announced that the Nohock Che’en and Xunantunch sites remain closed for visitation due to flooding.

The notice, sent out to Tour Operators, Tour Guides and the general public, however, announced that the Actun Tunichil Muknal and Barton Creek sites will be open for visitation but with caution.

The opening of Actun Tunichil Muknal and Barton Creek, according to the notice, is dependent on the rain holding up overnight.
