BREAKING NEWS: Shooting in San Ignacio

By Patrick E. Jones [670-6397] – One man was injured in a shooting incident a short while ago in San Ignacio town.

The victim, an elderly man, was shot in the left side of the chest. Details are still emerging, but a correspondent in San Ignacio town says that the shooting happened in the Kontiki area.

The elderly man has been rushed to the San Ignacio Community Hospital.

More information will be posted as they become available.

UPDATE: 11:05 pm – Information received says that the victim of tonight’s shooting has succumbed to his injuries.
